David Hornak has lived and worked in Holt, MI for the past twenty years. As an employee of Holt Public Schools, he has taught young fives, kindergarten, first grade, and Reading Recovery®. Hornak was promoted eight years ago and became the instructional leader (principal) of Horizon Elementary. While serving as the principal, he works to promote his students and staff daily. Hornak has presented over 40 times to school boards, district officials, community groups, and PTO groups across the state regarding the alternative calendar.
